A lot of people have issues with dogs chewing. The key to stopping this behavior is to stop the cycle of chewing on inappropriate things and redirecting on chewing appropriate things.
1st) Start with basic obedience and use cues to distract them when they are chewing something inappropriate.
2nd) Give the dog something appropriate.
3rd) Don’t let them learn when you can’t guide them. In most cases this means to kennel the pup when you can’t observe them. Be sure time in the kennel is appropriate for their bladder needs and the kennel is of appropriate size.
