Recently Oscar was being "stubborn" for the down cue. This began me thinking about all the times I am told about someone's dog is being stubborn. Generally the "stubborn" scenario falls more into the category of communication break down. The dog is trying to tell you something or the dog doesn't understand what you are saying. Taking a step back and observing the dog, yourself, and the environment can solve the "stubborn" scenario nearly every time.
